Ikorodu, Ibeju Lekki General Hospitals, and Abule Eko Primary Health Centre, Ijede, on Tuesday took delivery of ambulances and medical consumables facilitated by Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District.
The official handover ceremony was done at the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta, in the presence of the representatives of Senator Abiru, led by his Special Adviser on Constituency Matters, Dr. (Otunba) Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle, FMC, Ebute-Metta, Medical Director, Dr. Adedamola Dada, Medical Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Ibeju-Lekki General Hospital, Dr. Ime Okon, Director, Clinical Services and Training, Ikorodu General Hospital, Dr. Kareem Lookman, Assistant Director, Clinical Services and Training/ HOD Dental Clinic, Ikorodu General Hospital, Dr. Kehinde Osinaike and Chief Nursing Officer, Abule- Eko Primary Health Centre (Ijede), Patricia Ajani, among healthcare workers.
In their remarks, officials from the respective hospitals commended Senator Tokunbo Abiru for the quality representation he is providing across the Senatorial District, and his contributions to all critical sectors, particularly public health sector in the Senatorial district.
Before now, Senator Abiru had facilitated the rehabilitation and equipping of primary health care centres at Igbo-Olomu and Ori-Okuta, in Ikorodu West LCDA, Doctor’s Quarters, Labora, Ibeju-Lekki, 40-bed hospitals and Dental Clinic at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology, LASUSTECH,which will be commissioned soon. Also included are: 40 bed hospital at Mascara Health Centre and 40 bed hospital at Isiu, Ikorodu North LCDA, amongst many others.
Other members of the Senator team who were present include, Hon. (Mrs) Adebimpe Akinsola, Alhaja Sherifat Abiodun Ogunniyi, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, Media Aide to Senator Abiru, Ms Comfort Olafare, Legislative Assistant, Mr. Abiodun Isikalu and Mr. Tola Togunde.
