Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru Bursary Scheme is an Education Endowment in the Constituency services bouquet for the esteemed people of Lagos East Senatorial District.

Distinguished Senator Abiru’s passion for higher qualitative education as a veritable vehicle for maximizing enormous opportunities in today’s knowledge Economy is the motivation for the endowment targeted at brilliant, studious but indigent indigenes in the 16 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the Lagos East Senatorial District.

The bursary is expected to serve as a support to students in furtherance of their academic pursuit.

Bursary -20 students per LCDA (320) @N50,000 each
Target Institutions

Lagos State-owned tertiary institutions in Lagos state i.e Lagos State University, Lagos State Polytechnic, Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Micheal Otedola College of Primary Education, Lagos State College of Health Technology and Lagos State School of Nursing.


Applicant must be an indigent student of the Lagos East Senatorial District in any of the Lagos State-owned tertiary institutions (LASU, LASPOTEC, AOCOED, MOCPED., LASCOHET, LASCON)
Applicant must have proof of LASRRA registration slip or Identity Card
Applicant must provide proof of Indigenship
Letter from recognized Oba
Letter of Indigeneship from the LCDAs
Applicant must provide a duly signed Progress Report/ Academic profile by his/her Head of the Department
Applicant must not be below Second Class Lower or Lower Credit/ Merit
